Dominion Voting Systems filed a defamation lawsuit against Attorney Sidney Powell on Friday, demanding at least $ 1.3 billion for Powell’s “violent allegations” that the company rigged the presidential election for Joe Biden. “Dominion is taking these steps to improve the record,” said the company in a lawsuit in federal court in Washington. Powell claimed for weeks without evidence that the electoral technology provider, whose vote counting equipment was used in several states, was part of a ploy to steal President Donald Trump’s election. Powell has represented Trump in a series of unsuccessful lawsuits to challenge the election result. She claimed the company was founded in Venezuela to rig the election of the late leader Hugo Chavez and has the ability to change votes.
