Scholarship Description: The University of Toronto’s 2019 Nelson Mandela Awards are open to international students. The scholarship enables undergraduate courses in all subjects taught at the University of Toronto. The scholarship period ends on June 3, 2019. The Nelson Mandela Prize rewards students after completing their third year of study based on academic excellence, proven leadership, and achievement. Community engagement. This award was created to celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela. Eligible applicants must demonstrate a commitment to peace, justice, citizenship and human rights through their education and community engagement. Graduation Level: The scholarship is intended for an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto. Subjects Available: All subjects taught at the University of Toronto are open as part of this scholarship. Eligible nationalities: The scholarship is open to students of all nationalities. Admission Criteria: Students complete their third year based on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, and community engagement. The recipient must: • be a student who is completing their third year; • Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement.
