Tottenham target Alexander Sorlot signed a € 20 million (£ 18 million / US $ 23 million) deal for RB Leipzig, which was agreed on Tuesday with Crystal Palace and Trabzonspor, the Bundesliga nations.
Sorlot’s transfer status is complicated by the fact that the forward is on a two-year loan contract at Trabzonspor from Palace.
In Turkey, the Norwegian national team has impressed with 33 goals in 49 matches in all club competitions, who are looking to count on their services for the 2020-21 season.
However, Leipzig ended up winning in the transfer agreed between the Premier League and Super League, although Trabzonspor President Ahmet Agaoglu publicly claimed that Spurs were also involved in negotiations to determine Sorlot’s future.
“A new addition to attack! The Red Bulls have signed striker Alexander Sorlot immediately,” Leipzig said in a statement on the club’s official website.
“RB Leipzig have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace and Trabzonspor for the transfer of the 24-year-old soccer player. The Norwegian national team has signed a five-year contract until 2025 and will wear the No. 19 jersey.”
