The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) offers a number of international students from outside the European Economic Area the opportunity to complete a master’s degree in selected fields at the University of Utrecht.

Grant value / inclusions / duration:
The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship can be awarded as tuition fees OR tuition fees plus the necessary income as determined by the Finnish Immigration and Citizenship Agency residence permit for one year. The grant is awarded for the nominal duration of the program.
Qualifications: To be eligible for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must:
• be in the top 10% in your graduating class *
• You do not have an EU / EEA passport and are not eligible for support from the Dutch Scholarship and Loan Scheme
• Have a high school and / or bachelor’s degree degree from outside the Netherlands
• Has applied for a valid international master’s program starting on 1 September 2022. I
nstructions for use: After submitting the application (or applications) to the UES-qualified master’s program, before the set deadline, students from outside the EU / EEA have the opportunity to apply for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship from 1 November 2021.
