Depending on the faculty, the scholarship can vary between 2,000 and 25,000 euros. The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship can sometimes be supplemented by a Holland Scholarship, of which the University of Amsterdam is a member.

Students holding a passport outside the EU / EEA who have applied for a study program at the University of Amsterdam can apply for the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

Applications must be sent to the application offices of the graduate schools. Detailed eligibility requirements, selection criteria and application instructions can be found on the website of the faculty or research school. The deadline for scholarship applications varies by faculty. In most faculties, the application period is 15.1.2022, with the exception of a few 1.3.2022.
