Brief Description:

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was set up by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French universities to attract the best foreign students to enroll in their master’s and doctoral programs.

It provides opportunities for future foreign decision-makers in the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years of age from developing countries at master’s level and up to 30 years of age from doctorates from developing and industrialized countries. .

Host institutions:

French universities and colleges.

Study level:

Master’s program, engineering program or joint doctoral program (joint supervision of a dissertation and / or double degree) in cooperation with a foreign partner institution.

Field (s) of study:

The two major disciplines affected by the Eiffel Scholarships cover the following 7 fields of study in the Master’s and Doctoral sections:

• Science and Technology: Biology and Health; Ecological transition; Mathematics and digital technology; Science and technology

• Humanities and social sciences: French history, language and civilization; Jurisprudence and Political Science; and Financial Management.

International students.

Scholarship value / inclusions / duration:

For master’s studies, the Eiffel Scholarship includes a monthly allowance of EUR 1,181 and can be awarded for 12-36 months. For doctoral studies, the Eiffel Scholarship includes a monthly allowance of EUR 1,700 and is awarded for a maximum of 12 months.

In addition, the program covers a variety of expenses, including international flights, train travel in France, local transportation, health insurance and cultural activities. Under certain conditions, researchers may also receive additional housing support.

The Eiffel program does not cover tuition fees. The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs expects the educational institutions whose international influence is strengthened by this program to ensure that students receive the best financial support. Students admitted to public educational establishments, like French state fellows, are exempt from registration fees.

Qualifications:

Nationality: This program is reserved for applicants who are not French nationals. Applicants with two nationalities, one of whom is French, will not be eligible.

Age: Applicants for the Master’s level must be 25 years of age or younger in the 2022 application campaign, ie they must have been born after 31 March 1996.

At the doctoral level, applicants must be 30 years of age during the 2022 application period; that is, they must have been born after 31 March 1991.
